The discovery of saltpeter in the peat mines of Major Nadir has allowed the invention of firearms. Only Edelmann may legally own firearms although criminals manage to obtain them from unscrupulous or desperate Zwergen gunsmiths.

There are three common types of firearms in the Kreisvolk:
